THE WORK OF G.ROMERO

G.Romero is an indigenous multidisciplinary creator, educator, underground curator and storyteller. His work ranges from painting, illustration, comix, motion, performance, installation and sound. Central to his work are figuration, storytelling and narrative. His influences lie in artistic movements of curiously disruptive expression and experimentation such as the Baroque, Symbolist, Dada and Fluxus.
He is a graduate of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters (North Salem, NY) BFA 2003, MFA 2005
As an arts educator of over 20 years in NYC, G.Romero has worked with the following organizations and institutions: The Museum of Modern Art, Queens Museum, The Museum of the City of New York & the Brooklyn Museum.
He has exhibited at several galleries, open studios, welcoming walls and the following institutions: Artists Space, The Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, Governors Island Art Fair & the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA).
